Synopsis

This document is a practical manual resulting from the iCARE teaching innovation project at the University of Valladolid, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary teaching team. It is designed to promote and develop health and healthy lifestyle habits in Early Childhood Education, specifically for children aged 5 to 6.

Understanding health as a global concept, it proposes a comprehensive approach to children's healthy lifestyle habits and well-being across several fundamental areas: emotional development, interpersonal relationships, nutrition, oral health, first aid, and the environment. With a clear applied focus, the manual provides the necessary theoretical context alongside audiovisual resources and short activities that can be easily replicated by teachers in the classroom as well as by families at home.
