THE INDIAN OCEAN IN TRANSLATION (ANTHOLOGY)

The Indian Ocean in translation invites readers to navigate the literary waters of an ocean that, until relatively recently, did not attract the attention of scholars. It was not until the 1980s that, from the field of history, the Indian Ocean was claimed as an object of study. The “new thalassology” that emerged, according to historian Markus P. M.
