Object to Be Destroyed (1981-1986)
Synopsis
Object to Be Destroyed (1981-1986) constitutes the primary volume of poetry authored by Javier Dámaso. It comprises poems of youth, albeit possessing a singular maturity, wherein a quest for a distinct poetic voice is discernible. There exists an experimentation with styles and modes of expression. Ranging from surrealism to expressionism or visual poetry, it unfolds over a period from 1981 to 1986, a timeframe that largely coincides with the epoch of his undergraduate studies in the Faculty of Law at the University of Valladolid.
