STUDIES ON THE SOLITUDES

This volume of Estudios sobre las Soledades offers a collection of five essays analyzing different aspects of the unfinished masterpiece by don Luis de Góngora y Argote. The works by Mercedes Blanco, Jesús Ponce Cárdenas, Pedro Conde Parrado, Jacobo Llamas Martínez, Juan Matas Caballero and Juan María Moya on the most hermetic composition of Spanish literature aim to shed some light on some aspects of the text that are still not well known. Under the direction of Jesús Ponce Cárdenas, the HELEA project is devoted to the study of hybridization in golden poetry and to the examination of the different paths of lyric praise from an interdisciplinary perspective. The research team is made up of Hispanists, Latinists and art historians from several Spanish centers (U. de Burgos, U. Complutense, U. de León, U. de Valladolid) and European (École Normale Supérieure, U. de Lorraine, U. de Montpellier, U. Paris-Cergy, Sorbonne Université).
