In it, the queen presents, in addition to all the news related to her family and health, the problems arising in the kingdom of Portugal, especially during the period when the queen became regent during the minority of the future king, her grandson, Don Sebastian. Furthermore, in the letters, the monarch follows all the twists and turns of European politics that affect the House of Austria, advising and encouraging Philip II regarding his decisions.
