THE LITERARY JOURNALISM OF MARTA BRUNET
Keywords:

Marta Brunet (1897-1967) is a Spanish-Chilean writer who has received mixed treatment in the cultural scene, despite being one of the few women to have received the National Prize for Literature (1961). It was only in the late 2000s that a renewed interest in the study of her literature emerged with works such as Montaña adentro (Mountain Inside) (1923); María Rosa Flor del Quillén (1927); Humo hacia el sur (Humo Toward the South) (1946); and María Nadie (1957). This academic impetus, however, has not recognized her work as a chronicler, columnist, interviewer, and magazine editor. This investigation, which stems from the lack of studies on the author's journalistic work, begins to settle a historical debt to Marta Brunet the journalist.
