Synopsis

Frontera Collection no. 5

The civil rights movement changed the face of the United States. Its goal was to claim equal rights for African American citizens. It was a fierce struggle that achieved impressive judicial and legislative victories in the 1960s, ending discrimination in public spaces and eliminating the restrictive measures that had prevented Black citizens from voting in elections. Achieving a shift in mentalities proved even more difficult and claimed the lives of many key leaders and countless activists who gave their lives for the cause.
