Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are a group of pathologies caused by various micro-organisms, the main route of transmission of which is through unprotected sexual contact. At present, their high morbidity and the possibility of producing sequelae represent a significant expenditure of health and human resources and a considerable economic impact. For these reasons, there is a clear need to create strategies to address this public health problem. This paper aims to increase knowledge about STIs in society and particularly among adolescents aged 15-16 years, since in recent years there has been an increase in the prevalence of STIs starting at this age.
