This book includes assembly halls, with location plans, arranged inside familiar historic buildings; and smaller halls in other modern buildings, of less monumental significance, although they still possess social, cultural, and religious significance.

In Miguel Ángel Soria's drawings, each assembly hall is imbued with different essences. Some emphasize their artistic meaning, without losing their characteristic appearance; others emphasize their historical significance, others their ornamental significance, and others their functional significance. Each assembly hall has its own personality, determined by its ownership.
