AFRICA IN UNIVERSITY EDUCATION. METHODS AND PROPOSALS TO BRING STUDENTS CLOSER TO AFRICAN REALITY
Keywords:
Africa, education, law, historySynopsis
Africa, a continent of enormous cultural, linguistic, and social diversity, has historically been reduced in the European academy to simplistic visions shaped by Eurocentrism. In response, this text proposes a profound reassessment of its place in university teaching, highlighting the need to integrate African studies in a transversal and rigorous way. Recognizing African plurality not only corrects a historical injustice but also enriches knowledge production, broadening students’ critical, global, and inclusive perspectives.
