The Scientific Committee plays an active role in managing the collection. Its responsibilities include conducting preliminary evaluations of books proposed for publication, suggesting potential external reviewers, and identifying promising works for consideration that fall within the scope of the series. Committee members may also collaborate in the editorial process of volumes published in the collection.
EDITORIAL POLICY
Libros del Meridiano is committed to publishing and disseminating academic research on contemporary Spanish and Latin American literature. Playing on the notion of a meridian as both a real and imaginary dividing line, the series seeks to cross disciplinary boundaries and become a space for intellectual exchange and critical debate. It welcomes works of diverse methodological orientations, provided they share a few key traits: novelty, academic rigor, seriousness, and originality. Particular preference will be given to studies that traverse disciplinary boundaries and foster dialogue between different academic territories and conceptual frameworks.
AUTHOR GUIDELINES
General instructions for submitting manuscripts, as well as information regarding the evaluation process and communication of decisions, are available in the "Publication proposals" section of the Ediciones Universidad de Valladolid (EdUVa) website.
Authors must clearly indicate that they are requesting publication within the Libros del Meridiano series. Each proposal undergoes an initial evaluation by two members of the Scientific Committee. Subsequently, two external expert reviewers are appointed.
CODE OF ETHICAL CONDUCT
This book series adheres to the Code of Ethics established in the Guide to Good Practices of Ediciones Universidad de Valladolid, which in turn follows the principles set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The guide defines ethical conduct for authors, editorial committees, and peer reviewers. All parties are expected to follow the relevant guidelines applicable to their role.
