CLASSICS STANDING (LEFT). CHILDREN'S THEATRE
Keywords:

Whether side or flank, flank or flank, shore or bank, edge or edge, it must be Left, as determined by the natural inclination of Esther Pérez Arribas. This modern comedy author recounts that when she decided to create her own theater company, she was looking for a name that would honor her family's left-handed tendency, especially the child who was her father—a left-handed childhood cruelly punished in that sinister school. When she went through the idiom, she appropriated a little—just in case, to take advantage of bad luck—but only a little, because Esther Pérez Arribas doesn't inhabit the theater with superstitions, but with unwavering passion and firmness, and also a great deft touch. These strengths that the founder of Pie Izquierdo exudes are never lacking in the right amount of good humor, with which she dodges or distances herself from the pitfalls that seem inherent to the profession. This good nature of theirs is undoubtedly part of the appeal with which the Valladolid company captivates loyal fans willing to lend a hand and provides itself with a superb cast of local artists, such as David Llosa, María Desbordes and Carlos Soto on music, Víctor Cerezo and Gloria Hernández Rodilana on puppets, Enriqueta Morejón on choreography, Eva Lago also on puppets, shadows and posters, Pío Baruque and Marta Vidanes on photography or Mario Pérez Tápanes on costumes and set design, among other supporters of the theatrical cause, willing to add their talents to each new Pie Izquierdo project.
