Grandma's Recipe Book is much more than a cookbook: it's a tribute to culinary heritage, education, and intergenerational connections. Born from an innovative teaching project at the University of Valladolid, in collaboration with the Association for Active Pain Management (ADD Miguel Ángel Galán), it brings together the collaborative work of students from the Bachelor's Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and volunteers who have shared their culinary knowledge and stories.
Each recipe is the result of a dialogue between tradition and science: classic dishes, revisited through the lens of current healthy eating guidelines, without losing their essence and flavor. The recipe book is accompanied by educational materials—food guides, portion sizes, and examples of balanced menus with the included recipes—making it a useful tool for both academic learning and everyday life. This book celebrates the kitchen as a space for well-being, culture, and community, reminding us that cooking is also about caring, learning, and enjoying.
