LicenciadoVidriera

Books Published in This Series

The LicenciadoVidriera collection, named after a celebrated novella by Miguel de Cervantes partially set in Valladolid, was created with the aim of promoting the literary work of authors connected to Valladolid and the region of Castile and León.

In line with the University of Valladolid’s commitment to social engagement and expansion of its fields of output, Ediciones Universidad de Valladolid initiated the creation of a literary series. This goal is explicitly endorsed by the official Regulations of Ediciones Universidad de Valladolid, which state the dissemination of humanistic, artistic, and cultural production among its objectives. Accordingly, the LicenciadoVidriera collection seeks to publish literary texts originating in local and regional contexts.

To this end, Ediciones Universidad de Valladolid invites authors from Valladolid or Castile and León to generously submit their works—either unpublished or anthologies/collections of previously published texts—for publication and distribution. The selection of authors is undertaken by members of the Publications Committee with expertise in literature, and the publication of books is subject to the editorial calendar and the budgetary availability of the press.

The LicenciadoVidriera collection is open to works in all literary genres (poetry, novels, short stories, drama, etc.). In order to ensure academic or cultural recognition, each volume will include a postface written by a university scholar, academic, or established writer.

This book series adheres to the Code of Ethics established in the Guide to Good Practices of Ediciones Universidad de Valladolid.
