EDITORIAL POLICY
Among the objectives of the Cátedra Simón Ruiz, established in 2012 by agreement between the Fundación Museo de las Ferias de Medina del Campo and the University of Valladolid, is to promote studies on the international role of Castilian fairs during the 15th to 17th centuries. This agreement was later expanded through further agreements signed in 2013 with the Fundación Biblioteca Virtual Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra and with Banco Santander (via its Global Santander-Universities Division), with the aim of funding and disseminating this research. Among its various activities, the Cátedra publishes studies on the History of Commerce and Finance, authored by both Spanish and international scholars. Its goal is to publish at least one book annually.
